Aloe vera in any form (either using its gel, or juice or in any other form) is beneficial for healthy digestive system, supporting a healthy immune system, detoxification of the body, moisturization and hydration of skin.

Aloe vera juice and its benefits

Aloe vera juice is prepared by peeling the leaves of aloe vera and mixing the gel in the blender. For making 1 glass of juice take 2 tablespoon of gel to blend with.

1. Reducing Cholesterol.

Aloe vera juice helps in reducing cholesterol level and maintaining it by reducing triglycerides. It will further result in preventing heart diseases.

2. Detoxication.

Aloe vera helps in the detoxification of our body, Amino acids, vitamins and minerals present in aloe vera makes it world’s one of the best detoxing agent.

3. Oral care.

Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology says that aloe vera improves periodontal health post dental procedures like root canal and scaling.

Study also shows that aloe vera juice helps to reduce oral lichen planus. On the other hand applying aloe vera over the gums  reduces inflammation and its pain.

4. Improves Immune System.

Aloe vera juice has a lot of anti oxidants that reduce a lot of free-radicals flowing within our organisms. It also slows down the effect of aging.

5. Maintains Blood Sugar.

Drinking aloe vera helps maintaining the blood sugar level of our body.

Recent study published in 2012 in Planta Medica, researchers treated diabetic patients with 300 mg. of aloe vera extract, in capsule form – every 12 hours, and found that aloe was significantly superior to placebo in reducing blood sugar levels and harmful LDL cholesterol, with no adverse effects reported.

6. Weight loss.

When we drink aloe vera juice, it automatically cleanses our digestive tract. It reduces the weight by stabilizing the metabolic rate, reducing the lipid levels and helping burn fat.

7. Regulates Blood Pressure.

Aloe vera gel contains 99% of water and the rest is made up of polysaccharides, glycoproteins, amino acids, sterols, lipids, enzymes and tannins.

It also contains vitamins A, B12, C and E. Vitamin C in particular is good to help with blood circulation and helps maintain normal functioning of blood vessels.

There is an important factor called collagen, needed by blood vessels. Vitamin C is required to make collagen. Various doses of vitamin C can lower blood pressure.

Study says that 500mg vitamin C taken for 4 weeks caused a 9% lowering of systolic blood pressure.

Aloe vera juice can strengthen arteries and veins and therefore regulates blood pressure.

8. Full of Vitamins & minerals.

Aloe vera contains vitamins (A, C, E), a contingent of B (including B1, B2, B3, B6 & B12), folic acid & choline.

It has over twenty different minerals like calcium, sodium, potassium, selenium & iron, etc.
